Web fonts plugin for WordPress

Seed Fonts is WordPress plugin that helps you use web fonts (@font-face) easier. You can use 5 ready-generated Thai-English web fonts, or use your own collection (such as generated from Font Squirrel’s Webfont Generator).

How to use?

  1. Download plugin from
  2. Upload the plugin files to the /wp-content/plugins/seed-fonts directory, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly.
  3. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress
  4. Go to Appearance -> Fonts to set you web fonts. Thais use รูปแบบบล็อก -> ฟอนต์


5 ready-generated Thai web fonts

  1. Athiti
  2. Kanit
  3. Mitr
  4. Prompt
  5. TH Sarabun New (change X-height to match Georgia font)

Athiti, Kanit, Mitr and Prompt are designed by Cadson Demak and KATATRAD. TH Sarabun New is designed by Suppakit Chalermlarp.

Uploading your own generated web fonts.

  1. Create your own web fonts. (You can use Font Squirrel’s Webfont Generator.)
  2. Create font.css that include all @font-face.
  3. Put this code (“Font Name” and “Weights”) to the top of css
    Font Name: YOUR FONT NAME
    Weights: 400, 700
  4. Put all files in the same folder. Name it such as YOUR-FONT-NAME and upload to theme folder such as /wp-content/themes/YOUR-THEME-NAME/vendor/fonts/YOUR-FONT-NAME
  5. You can add more folders and the plugin will create your collection in the plugin page.
  6. Example font: you can download and try this example font, Boon Home, Lao font from FontUni.
